Visiting Hallmark Smiles Dental Care
Your Family’s First Appointment
On the day of your first visit, sure to bring a copy of your driver’s license or ID and dental insurance card, if applicable. When you arrive we will ask you to fill out our new patient forms.
We ask that you reserve approximately two hours of your time for this comprehensive new patient appointment.
New Patient Appointments
When you first arrive, check in at our front desk. After we’ve made sure that we have all of your necessary information, the hygienist will escort you back to one of our clinical rooms. Before the exam, we will review your medical history and discuss any specific concerns that you have. X-rays may be necessary in order to perform a complete exam.
During this visit, we will record information related to the health of your gums, existing dental work and perform an oral cancer screening. Dr. Antonela Larashi will thoroughly examine all of your teeth and oral anatomical structures before determining if any treatment is necessary. Then the hygienist will clean your teeth and discuss appropriate ongoing oral hygiene care.
Planning Necessary Treatment
Should you require any type of dental treatment, Dr. Larashi will explain her findings and recommendations in a clear and honest manner. We can include a series of intraoral photographs, so that you see the areas being discussed.
Our financial coordinator will then outline the fees, pricing and estimated insurance benefits as they relate to your care plan. We’re happy to answer any and all questions that you may have prior to scheduling your treatment appointment.
Treatments like periodontal therapy (scaling and root planing) can often be started on the same day.
